Dark Makeup For Fall

While most Australians are celebrating the return of sunshine (except for me, winter lover right here), the other hemisphere is looking forward to wiping the cobwebs off their autumn/winter wardrobe.

I thought I would see what is going on on the other-side of the world considering makeup for our scorching summers is usually pretty granola. Who can be bothered caking on makeup when it’s going to melt off your face as soon as you leave the air con?!

I’ve seen descriptions thrown around such as “Maleficent” and “fairy-tale inspired” for the autumn/winter runways makeup. Angelina Jolie certainly looked amazing in her darker-hued role, but then again, what can’t she pull off?

I love dark makeup, especially darker-hued lipsticks, as I am sure many have noticed. Rarely will I leave the house with a nude pout. I find it boring, and I think it’s nice to throw colour in to my life since I am rarely a coloured wardrobe kinda gal.

Liquid liner has made a comeback also, another not so summer friendly makeup style I love.

Nails are no exception to the dark-side either, with oxblood the shade of choice.

I’ve listed products below for those going on a winter holiday… or for those just like me who refuse to admit that summer will be arriving oh so soon.
